Borja González and Álvaro Muñoz Escassi have left more than one person speechless with the latest development between them during the last gala of Survivors 2025. A gesture that has undoubtedly completely changed their journey in Honduras.
In recent weeks, we have seen the great rapport that has developed between these two contestants. So much so that, on more than one occasion, we have seen them publicly supporting each other.

However, this Sunday, April 20, Borja González made an unexpected decision with Álvaro Muñoz Escassi during one of the games that puzzled the followers of Survivors.
During the latest broadcast of Connection Honduras, all the contestants from Playa Furia and Playa Calma faced a series of games within The League of the Gods.
In one of them, each team had to fight to get one of the buoys that were in the sea. The difficulty of this challenge was that, in each of the rounds, there was one less buoy than the total number of contestants.

Therefore, to avoid being eliminated, they had to grab one and place it in their box. Although the person who was left without one of these objects could steal it from one of their teammates.
However, and although we have seen great competitiveness among them, there was a moment when Borja González made an unexpected decision with Álvaro Muñoz Escassi. A detail that left more than one person speechless.

During the challenge, and seeing the competitiveness of the contestants, Laura Madrueño was forced to intervene to prevent any mishaps. So much so that she even asked them to be careful not to hurt themselves and to prioritize sportsmanship over the reward.
Nevertheless, there was a moment when the opposite happened. Borja González and Álvaro Muñoz Escassi were the last two to compete for their place in the final of The League of the Gods.

However, despite the tempting reward, the participant from The Island of Temptations surprised everyone with the unexpected decision he made with the rider.
Instead of testing his strength against Álvaro Muñoz Escassi, Borja González decided, to the surprise of many, to stop his participation in the challenge. Instead of trying to snatch the buoy from his opponent, he chose to stay calmly on the shore.

So much so that he even encouraged the rider to get out of the water and place the buoy in the box, thus facilitating his victory. A gesture that, as expected, did not go unnoticed by Laura Madrueño:
"I love you, you are wonderful, guys. How beautiful to see you play, you did great. How beautiful and what camaraderie, this is the best in such a difficult game as this."
