Hansi Flick has a talk with Ferran Torres, direct message: 'I don't see you...'

The coach will have to inform his winger of the decision and his thoughts; imminent changes

Hansi Flick has made a strong start at the club and has undoubtedly been Barça's savior this past year. The German signed with the Catalan entity fully aware of the economic and sporting situation it was in. Nevertheless, he showed willingness from the very beginning and his intentions have always been good.

Barça has gone through tough times, but little by little it's bouncing back and now it's one of Europe's giants again. Hansi Flick has made the necessary adjustments and the squad has greatly increased its level. Now, after much controversy, Ferran Torres could find himself caught up in a storm of changes.

Ferran Torres and his role at Barça

Ferran Torres has been one of the most criticized footballers in the squad in recent years due to his poor performances. The Valencian arrived directly from Manchester City, but the results weren't the desired ones. He went through a rough patch and couldn't secure a spot in the team, much less in the starting eleven.

Over time, with a change in mindset and help from a professional, Ferran Torres stepped up and something started to change. Suddenly, the winger improved by leaps and bounds and started earning minutes. It has reached such a point that Hansi Flick has to tell him that he no longer sees him as a winger, he sees him as a number 9.

Hansi Flick has backed Ferran Torres regardless of outside opinions and the results he's delivered have been much better than expected. The German has used him as an impact substitute up front and the Valencian has finished the year with 19 goals and 77 assists. Knowing that the coach no longer sees him as a winger, it's time to consider the possible change.

Ferran Torres and his new position

Ferran Torres has gone from being a possible departure to an untouchable due to his great role off the bench. Even so, the Valencian hopes to be a starter and secure a spot in Barça's attack. For now, he's on the right track and could be Robert Lewandowski's replacement for next year.

Hansi Flick will have to make a decision and everything will be decided over the coming months. We still don't know what will happen, but it's possible that the forward will earn more minutes throughout this year.
