Some time ago, Prince Harry exposed an unexpected and controversial piece of information about Prince William, information that undoubtedly caused a real stir within Buckingham Palace. According to the Duke of Sussex, his brother had a cruel gesture toward him when they were teenagers.
It was during the promotional tour of his memoir, Spare, when the Duke of Sussex shared this harsh episode of his life with journalist Anderson Cooper.

In his interview on the program 60 Minutes, Meghan Markle's husband revealed the cruel gesture that Prince William had toward him in 1998, during his first day at Eton College.
That day, according to Prince Harry's harsh account, his brother asked him, without hesitation, to act as if they didn't know each other while studying at the same school.

"When we're at school, let's act as if we don't know each other," recalled the Duke of Sussex during his interview. A phrase that, although it seems insignificant, caused great pain to the youngest son of Charles III.
Prince Harry exposed a controversial fact about Prince William
Subsequently, Prince Harry confessed that, although it may seem silly, at that moment Prince William's comment broke his heart:
"At that moment it hurt, I couldn't understand it. I thought: 'I haven't seen you in a long time, now we can spend time together.' But his reaction was completely different."

This way, Prince Harry had no qualms about sharing with viewers one of his oldest and deepest wounds from his adolescence. Information that undoubtedly reveals more details about the origin of the distance that currently exists between them.
What might seem like a prank between brothers, in this case, took on a much deeper meaning. Just a year before, they had both faced the loss of their mother, Lady Di.
"We had a traumatic experience in common, but we dealt with it in very different ways," reflected Prince William's brother during his interview with Anderson Cooper.
Finally, the Duke of Sussex confessed that Prince William tried to talk about their mother's death, but he didn't know how to face it. "I never thought that talking to someone, much less my brother, would be therapeutic," Prince Harry acknowledged.
