Meteocat has warned of the weather change that we'll notice as the hours pass and, especially, in the afternoon. According to the most updated forecasts, a new day marked by atmospheric instability is expected. Especially during the central hours of the day and in the afternoon.
During the morning, the skies have remained partially covered, with some scattered showers in the eastern half. The first precipitations have been weak and isolated; however, the weather will keep changing. The clouds will gain ground as the hours pass.

The outlook will become more complicated from noon, when a notable increase in storm activity is expected. According to Meteocat, the showers will become more frequent and intense in the northern regions of the country. The Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees will register locally strong storms accompanied by possible hail.
The Situation Worsens in the Afternoon in Catalonia
In Meteocat's forecast maps, it is observed how the weather situation worsens significantly during the afternoon. The interior and northern areas of Catalonia are marked with symbols of storms and heavy rain. This indicates that they will be the most affected areas by the worsening weather.
In contrast, the southern regions, such as Les Terres de l'Ebre and the rest of the Tarragona coast, will keep more stable weather. Another relevant factor to consider is the widespread drop in temperatures. The cold air at altitude will favor not only the formation of storms but also a cooler environment.
The highs will drop throughout the territory, and in some inland points, the thermometers could stay below 68°F (20 degrees). Meteocat recommends caution due to the possibility of heavy rains and adverse conditions. It is also advised to avoid outdoor activities in mountainous areas during the most unstable hours of the day.

With this warning, the importance of following official weather updates to be properly informed of any last-minute changes is reminded. Especially in spring weeks when surprises can come at any time. Instability is the general trend of months in which the arrival of good weather and sunshine seems to resist.
