There's a surprise: Pep Guardiola gifts a $117M signing that Hansi Flick needs

The Spanish coach is making adjustments, and it seems that one of his departures would suit the Catalans very well

Pep Guardiola is one of the best coaches in the world, but lately he hasn't gone through good times. The Spaniard used to be the king of the Premier League and win everything, but this year everything has changed. City have gotten used to losing and the coach is making the necessary adjustments so this won't happen again next year.

Meanwhile, Barça are showing their best soccer and have once again become a global reference. All teams fear facing those from the Ciudad Condal and the high level they've shown is the reason. Now, a signing that would suit Barça very well is available for free thanks to Pep Guardiola, who has ruled out one of his stars.

Pep Guardiola's discard

Manchester City have a lot of purchasing power and can afford to do without footballers who aren't essential. In fact, several stars who could be starters at any top club have ended up leaving through the back door. Julián Álvarez, being in Haaland's shadow, is the perfect example of this.

A few days ago, Pep Guardiola was asked about Jack Grealish, the winger who won over all the teams three years ago. Since that year, the striker has lost qualities and has ended up without any kind of prominence in the team. In fact, the Citizens paid just over 258 lbs. (117 kg) to secure his services.

Pep Guardiola stated: "Jack is an exceptional player, but he needs to play again and feel butterflies in his stomach to want to play every three days." In this situation, fans are starting to believe that his departure is imminent, but nothing can be taken for granted yet. If that's the case, several clubs will rush in to try to revitalize the forward.

Barça in search of a winger

Pep Guardiola hasn't ruled him out definitively, but he has stated that it was his decision not to take him to the United States. He has also made it clear that Grealish's lack of minutes these past two years has been his decision and not the footballer's. Interestingly, Barça are looking for a left winger, so his name could start to come up.

In any case, it's unlikely, since it seems that Nico Williams is already practically signed. Over the next few days, we'll know more about possible moves.
