Queen Máxima of the Netherlands has become the center of attention due to the latest events during one of the most important festivals in our country. This information has caused a U-turn around her.
This Tuesday, May 6, the Seville Fair kicked off with its traditional "alumbrao." During these days, several people have visited its booths to enjoy the music, the good atmosphere, or even to find love.

It was precisely there, in 1999, where the love story between King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands began, a romance that continues to this day.
At that time, Prince Willem-Alexander and Máxima Zorreguieta met for the first time among lanterns, ruffles, and "rebujitos." Specifically, destiny brought them together at the Club Aero de Sevilla booth, and it was there that their romantic relationship was born.

Since then, the current queen of the Netherlands considers the Seville April Fair as one of her favorite destinations. So much so that this year she decided to return, but without her husband's company.
Queen Máxima of the Netherlands reappears alone at the Seville April Fair: the monarch feels a deep affection for this festivity
It was the city's mayor, José Luis Sanz, who confirmed through social media the recent visit of Queen Máxima of the Netherlands. Additionally, he revealed that he had the opportunity to speak with her for a few minutes:
"Seville enchants, even more so during the Seville April Fair 2025, an affair that Queen Máxima of the Netherlands proudly carries. At our festival, she met her husband, King Willem-Alexander, and today she has returned to visit us. It was a pleasure to welcome her to our city, which these days is full of light and color."

Additionally, the mayor shared a photograph of himself conversing with Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, who was wearing a black and sober outfit, perhaps not very suitable for a festive occasion.
However, for now, it is unknown whether King Willem-Alexander's wife traveled alone or accompanied by one of her daughters. In any case, once again, the monarch did not want to miss this festivity for anything in the world.
There is no doubt that Queen Máxima of the Netherlands feels a special affection for the Seville Fair, one of her preferred destinations, which she visits whenever she can.
