all of Spain gets emotional after the secret of King Felipe and Queen Letizia is revealed

Kings Felipe VI and Letizia have surprised everyone with their latest gesture in public

Kings Felipe and Letizia surprised everyone this week by appearing in a photo that's generating a lot of buzz. After attending Infanta Sofía's graduation in Wales, the monarchs visited the Extremaduran town of Guadalupe, where they held a meeting with the Women's Association of the municipality. In particular, it was Queen Letizia who drew all eyes when she sat on the floor next to Filomena, a 99-year-old embroiderer with whom she was able to chat animatedly.

This scene attracted attention for the tenderness and connection it conveyed. Felipe VI's wife appeared relaxed, calm, and overflowing with affectionate gestures and laughter.

Filomena explained, "The best thing I can say is that I've already taught many people how to do it." With these words, she made clear the legacy she has passed down through generations.

Guadalupe, a beautiful Extremaduran town declared a Historic-Artistic Site and World Heritage Site since 1993, keeps an important link with the Spanish monarchy. In the Royal Monastery of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Catholic Monarchs Isabel and Fernando offered Christopher Columbus the caravels with which he would discover America.

This emblematic place became one of the first destinations the current monarchs visited shortly after their wedding, when they were still Princes of Asturias.

Kings Felipe VI and Letizia surprised with their approachability toward the inhabitants of Guadalupe

During their walk through the streets of the aforementioned town in Cáceres, Felipe and Letizia showed affection and approachability toward its inhabitants. Another much-discussed anecdote of the day, which also featured the queen as the protagonist, was the moment when she held a baby in her arms.

"We didn't expect them to be so approachable with us," the child's mother and grandparents told El Periódico de Extremadura after their meeting.

The visit, during which the monarchs also had the opportunity to sign the town hall's guest book, was marked by high temperatures (altas temperaturas). In fact, there was a moment when Letizia shielded herself from the sun under a white umbrella she found during her walk.

Just before lunch, the kings said goodbye to the inhabitants of Guadalupe. Everyone agreed that the sovereigns showed approachability to anyone who wanted to take a photo with them or exchange a few words. This attitude has become the usual tone of the events or visits in which the monarchs are present.
