Brad Pitt has left more than a few people speechless with the latest confession he has made about Tom Cruise. The actor hasn't hesitated to reveal the real reason why his fellow professional hasn't wanted to work with him again.
It was in 1994 when these two Hollywood giants starred in Interview with the Vampire, the only film that these two of Hollywood's biggest stars have shared. That title became a cult classic for fans of gothic cinema and marked a one-of-a-kind collaboration.

Two decades later, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise came very close to working together again on another film project. It was Le Mans '66, the 2019 movie that ultimately starred Matt Damon and Christian Bale.
Since then, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise fans have dreamed of seeing them together again on the big screen. However, that reunion never happened, and now Angelina Jolie's ex-husband has publicly explained the reason.
Brad Pitt reveals why Tom Cruise hasn't wanted to collaborate on another film
In an interview for The National, Brad Pitt stated, "Tom and I, for a while, worked on Le Mans '66 with Joe Kosinski." "This was about 10 years before the guys who made it came along and turned it into a great film," he added.
According to the actor, the project was close to happening, but in the end, they didn't reach an agreement: "In the end, we both wanted to drive. Tom wanted to play Shelby, and I wanted to play Ken Miles."

When Tom realized that Carroll Shelby wouldn't drive much in the film, it didn't happen," Brad Pitt clarified. Despite the failure of that attempt, both have recently met again in public, 30 years after their last collaboration.
However, Pitt doesn't rule out working with Tom Cruise again in the future, although he remains cautious about it. "I'm not sure how[a possible F1 sequel]would work, but we'll try. I'd love to," he said, leaving the door open.
These words have come after Joseph Kosinski suggested to GQ UK the possibility of bringing together Cole Trickle (Cruise in Days of Thunder) and Sonny Hayes (Pitt in F1). Kosinski presented this idea as a possible sequel.
"Well, right now, it would be Cole Trickle, Cruise's character in Days of Thunder. We find out that he and Sonny Hayes have a past," he explained. "I heard about an epic kart battle in Interview with the Vampire that Brad and Tom had, and who wouldn't pay to see them face off on the track?" Kosinski joked.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt has confessed his excitement about staying connected to the world of motorsports. "I'd like to drive again, selfishly speaking. F1 is still in the spotlight," he declared.
Although he doesn't know if his character, Sonny, would fit into the future story, he doesn't rule out returning. "Sonny is probably at the Bonneville Salt Flats, breaking speed records or something like that," Brad Pitt highlighted.
