New announcement by Buckingham Palace: Charles III and Queen Camilla are very nervous

An unexpected gesture from the monarchs has surprised everyone at Royal Ascot: Here are the images and everything that is known

Berkshire County, famous for being home to Royal Ascot, reopened its doors for one of the most prestigious events on the British social calendar. This event, which has been a tradition since 1771, is known for its equestrian excellence.

In this edition, King Charles III and Queen Camilla, as usual, led the opening day. This time, however, something seemed different. The photos taken at Ascot Racecourse reveal a more human side of the monarchs: their nerves.

Charles III and Queen Camilla's nerves

Despite the solemn and majestic arrival in their royal carriage, the anxiety was palpable. Both monarchs, who have always been known for their composure, couldn't help but show signs of nervousness throughout this iconic event.

King Charles III, who wore a gray morning coat, sky blue vest, and a pink tie, looked especially tense at the racecourse. Queen Camilla, elegant in her aqua green dress and matching hat, was also caught with tense expressions.

The photos of both monarchs, with their nervous gestures, contradict the image of untouchable royalty that is often projected in the media. What many don't know is that this event has a personal meaning for Charles III.

It was a very special event for King Charles III

His horse, Reaching High, was competing in the Ascot Stakes that same afternoon, which increased the pressure on the monarch. In fact, the steed was bred by the late Queen Elizabeth II, which made this event even more special and emotional for the royal family.

The monarchs' nervousness was, without a doubt, a contrast to the pomposity of the event. However, it also shows the more human side of royalty. Despite these nerves, Charles III and Camilla kept their elegance.

In addition, other members of the royal family, such as Princess Anne, were also present at the event. Royal Ascot remains one of the most important events of the season, where sport, fashion, and royalty come together.

There is no doubt that the images captured at the racecourse reveal that, even in moments of greatest symbolism and solemnity, the monarchs are not immune to emotion. The tension and nerves they couldn't hide showed a more genuine side of Charles and Camilla.
