A few days ago, Queen Máxima and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands managed to move half of Europe after announcing a very special piece of news. The monarchs have decided to embark on a new state visit.
Last week, the monarchs' communications team confirmed their upcoming official visit to the Czech Republic. However, on Tuesday, June 3, everything suggests that an unexpected change of plans occurred.

As expert José Moreno reported on social media, "the Royal House of the Netherlands announces that the program for the state visit to Czechia has been modified."
This decision was made "due to the political situation that arose in the Netherlands after the fall of the cabinet and the resignation of Dick Schoof, the country's prime minister." A series of measures that personally affected Queen Máxima and King Willem-Alexander.
So much so that, according to this expert in royal houses, it was planned for the monarch to return "to the Netherlands after the first day of the trip, fulfilling his institutional role."

However, it was also confirmed that Queen Máxima would continue "with the planned agenda and will remain as the representative of the Crown." All of this "without changing her agenda for the second day of the state visit."
"Furthermore, in the statement distributed by the Royal Court, they assure that Minister Beljaarts, after submitting his resignation, will not be part of the official delegation," José Moreno stated. However, just a few hours later, the communicator returned to X with a very special piece of news.
Queen Máxima and King Willem-Alexander move half of Europe with the latest decision they've made
Finally, everything suggests that these measures weren't necessary and Máxima and Willem-Alexander were able to fulfill their scheduled agenda for their visit to the Czech Republic. Proof of this is the post that José Moreno published a few hours after the first statement:

"King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands land in Prague, on the occasion of their state visit that aims to 'strengthen the bond of friendship between our countries. We rise together, we learn from each other,' said the Royal House."
In the images shared by the monarchs' communications team, Queen Máxima and King Willem-Alexander can be seen at the foot of their private plane. Alongside them, several members of the Czech army welcomed the sovereigns with their weapons pointed at the sky.
For the occasion, the queen chose an elegant yellow midi dress with a gradient at the bottom. She also completed her look with a matching jacket and white sandals.
In contrast, King Willem-Alexander once again chose a much more sober and elegant style, consisting of a classic dark blue suit. However, he decided to add a touch of color to his look with a light blue tie.
