The communications team for Prince William and Kate Middleton has issued a new statement on the social media of the Princes of Wales. In it, they wanted to welcome a new member to the family.
A few days ago, the future British monarchs won over their followers with a heartwarming photograph. They made the post public to mark Prince William's 43rd birthday.

In the image, we can see Kate Middleton's husband, smiling broadly and surrounded by four adorable spaniel puppies. "Happy birthday! With love, C, G, C, L, Orla, and the puppies," read the message that accompanied the image.
These initials refer to Catherine, Prince William's wife, and their three children: George, Charlotte, and Louis. Orla, the family's cocker spaniel and the mother of the youngest puppies in the photo, is also mentioned.

As expected, this image not only commemorated Prince William's birthday, but also raised an important question: what will happen to the puppies now?

According to reports, Kate Middleton and Prince William have already made a decision about the puppies' future. Considering the bond their children have with animals, the royal couple has chosen to keep one of them.

Journalist Rebecca English, in an article published by The Daily Mail, explained that this was precisely one of the reasons why they decided to raise Orla at the time. "It's been something exciting for the children, and it seems they plan to keep one of the puppies," she revealed.
Orla came into the lives of Kate Middleton and Prince William in 2020 as a gift from James Middleton, the princess's brother. His dog Luna had a litter of six puppies, and he thought one of them would brighten his nephews' lives. Over time, it became clear that he hadn't been wrong.
Since then, Orla has become another member of the family. In fact, the Princes of Wales have shared images of their pet on several occasions, showing their affection for her. Even the future king confessed in an informal conversation that she sleeps with them in bed.
Before her, Kate Middleton and Prince William had another dog, Lupo, also an English cocker spaniel. However, in 2020, after nearly a decade with them, the couple sadly announced the death of their beloved pet.
