Shock for Prince George, Prince William's son: he's forced to do it

Prince William takes the lead and makes the decisive move that changes the life of his heir, Prince George

Prince William has taken a firm and decisive step regarding the future of his eldest son, Prince George. The youngest, who is only 11 years old, is required to accept any decision made about his life due to his role as heir. The latest news is that Prince William has already chosen the prestigious school where George will continue his studies.

Everything indicates that the chosen institution will be Eton College, which has a long tradition in the British royal family. In fact, his father studied there, and it is the first step in his training as a future king of the United Kingdom. The decision has not been made official, but international media report that "parent-teacher associations are awaiting the announcement."

Prince William leaves Prince George with no options

At 11 years old, Prince George is aware of the essential role he plays in the British royal family. Despite his young age, Prince William and Kate have established a path whose sole objective is to train him as a future king.

In this regard, George finds himself with his hands tied and is required to fulfill what is expected of him. The latest update regarding his future is the choice his father has made about his academic training. Prince William will transfer his eldest son to a new school to adapt his studies to his institutional role.

The choice of a new school is a significant moment, which defines his education and his future role as king. For this reason, William and Kate have been actively involved in this important decision. Although there is no official confirmation, the name Eton College is already circulating in the vast majority of international media.

British press such as the Daily Mail have spoken with sources close to Kensington who state that "all roads lead to Eton." This decision is not surprising, since the British royal family has a long tradition at that institution. Prince William studied there, as did his brother, Prince Harry.

Eton staff, as well as students and parents, are eager to have Prince George among them. However, it will not be until September 2026 when it is definitively known whether he has enrolled in the prestigious school.

Prince George's future is already defined

Prince George still has one more year before starting his secondary studies at a new institution. He is currently attending primary school at Lambrook School, along with his siblings Charlotte and Louis. Kate's wish was that, for secondary school, he would enroll in a coeducational institution to continue alongside his siblings.

However, Prince William has imposed his wish that his eldest son separate from them and study at Eton, which is exclusively for boys. In fact, George's role in the royal family is very different from Charlotte's and Louis's, and he must be consistent with that.

Training the future king of England will not be cheap for the Princes of Wales. The cost of Eton exceeds $84,000 per year, covering tuition, boarding, sports activities, and additional cultural programs.

British media describe the institution as "for rich kids," since the cream of the United Kingdom has studied there. However, not everyone has fond memories of their time at Eton. For example, the experience of Harry, Prince George's uncle, was not good at all.

"It was a paradise for brilliant boys. It could only be purgatory for a very mediocre boy," he wrote in his memoirs. It is unknown whether Prince George is among the "brilliant" or the "mediocre," but what is clear is that he has no choice.
