Italy surprises everyone by confirming the rumor about Carlos Alcaraz: 'The truth...'

The Italian press leaves more than one person speechless with the latest they have published about Carlos Alcaraz

After the Wimbledon final, an Italian media outlet has not hesitated to tell "the truth" about Carlos Alcaraz. In fact, they have not hesitated to confirm one of the most talked-about rumors about the tennis player while comparing him to his great rival.

Although the Murcian has not made any statements or been involved in any scandals in recent days, his personal life is once again a topic of debate in the Italian press.

This time, the focus has shifted away from his performance on the tennis courts to his behavior off the court. In fact, once again, the name Carlos Alcaraz appears in a comparison with Jannik Sinner.

It all stems from a statement Sinner made in an interview when he was just 17 years old. These statements have now been brought back by a user on X and, according to Il Corriere dello Sport, they have gone viral in Spain.

In it, the 2025 Wimbledon winner states that he doesn't "like to go out partying." "Honestly, I'd rather have a Coke," he said back then, now the world number one.

Based on that statement, the aforementioned Italian outlet has built a new comparison between Carlos Alcaraz and his fellow professional. In this situation, once again, the Spaniard is portrayed from a less favorable perspective.

Italian press harshly criticize Carlos Alcaraz: "He should prefer a Coke over sangria"

The approach of this Italian outlet is very simple and direct: Sinner represents a disciplined, methodical profile who avoids excess and prioritizes his career. In addition, he is shown as someone reserved, who prefers a non-alcoholic drink over a night out partying.

According to them, Carlos Alcaraz symbolizes the complete opposite. In fact, the Murcian tennis player is described as a lover of nightlife. Something that, as they point out, he has never tried to hide.

Meanwhile, they have mentioned that the Spaniard celebrated his birthday in Ibiza, suggesting that he did so between tournaments, although it has been proven that it was after winning Roland Garros. They even go so far as to say that "he should prefer a Coke over sangria."

To reinforce this image, they include opinions published "in many places" that criticize Carlos Alcaraz's behavior. One of the most notable statements is: "How can you go dancing between tournaments?"

This outlet also includes opinions from Spanish sports journalists, although from a more balanced point of view. "There is not a single way to become a champion. The Sinner-Alcaraz rivalry is not just about sports; it is also philosophical," the newspaper Marca stated at the time.

The publication by Il Corriere dello Sport is not a coincidence, since it was released right after Sinner defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the 2025 Wimbledon final. This defeat coincided with the premiere of his documentary on Netflix.

In the series Carlos Alcaraz: My Way, the player himself admits that "there are moments when I do not really feel like playing." He also doesn't hesitate to talk about his vacation after Roland Garros: "In Ibiza, I'm not going to lie to you, it's basically partying and going out. I went there to go all out."
