During one of his latest interviews, Julio Iglesias made a confession about his father, Dr. Puga, that surely no one will forget. "I think he liked the chorus girls as much as I did," the singer said, laughing.
Some time ago, this well-known singer sat on the set of Land Rober, a show on Galician Television hosted by Roberto Vilar. During his appearance, the artist opened his heart when talking about his father, popularly known as Papuchi.

Among other things, Julio Iglesias recalled the support he received from his father from his beginnings at Real Madrid to his consolidation as an international star.
However, what stood out most from his appearance were the emotional words he dedicated to his father, Dr. Puga. "My father was my companion and I was my father's companion, I wish he had been my companion all my life," he reflected with emotion.
Although, as expected, Julio Iglesias also relied on his great sense of humor to remember some of the best moments of his father's life. Among them, their shared fondness for women.
Julio Iglesias left more than one speechless with the confession he made about his father, Dr. Puga, in an interview
Unlike his complex relationship with his son Enrique Iglesias, as he himself has revealed on several occasions, the bond between Julio Iglesias and his father was unique:
"My father has been the soul of my life and my mother as well, but the cultural heritage I have from my father, for sure, 100%." For him, his father was much more than a paternal figure: he was his guide and his best friend.

Julio Iglesias and Dr. Puga shared both moments of success and the toughest difficulties. Among them, the worrying car accident the singer suffered that left him paralyzed for a year and a half, thus cutting short his career as a footballer at Real Madrid.
"My father did everything with me when I was left dead in a bed in '63... He left his career for two years and accompanied me constantly. He was my inspiration and made me take one more step every day," the singer recalled.

At this point, Julio Iglesias made a comparison between the closeness he had with Dr. Puga and his distance from his son Enrique. "That relationship with my father has nothing to do with the relationship I had with my son Enrique in recent years, especially when he started singing," he added.
During his appearance on this Galician television show, the artist reiterated several times the deep admiration he still feels for his father, Dr. Puga. So much so that he didn't think twice when describing him as "a great character."
Next, in a relaxed tone, Julio Iglesias left everyone speechless with the unexpected confession he made about his father: "I think he liked the chorus girls as much as I did."
Finally, the singer also reflected on his love life, defending the freedom to love: "I've never turned my back on anyone. I've loved many people and supposedly they've loved me. I've learned a lot from women."
