King Frederik of Denmark confirms that Prince Christian has successfully fulfilled his warning

King Frederik has confirmed that his son, Prince Christian, has managed to beat him in the Royal Run. The heir to the Danish Royal House surprised everyone by surpassing his own time in the recent race against his father, the king. The family competition took place on June 9 in several cities including Viborg, Horsens, and Copenhagen.

In Viborg, Christian completed the 3.1 mi. (5 km) in 21 minutes and 15 seconds, marking an unexpected milestone compared to King Frederik's time. King Frederik confirms the latest news about Prince Christian

Last Monday, June 9, Denmark dressed up to host one of the Danish Royal House's sporting traditions. This is the Royal Run, a popular race in which all members of the Royal Family always participate. The competition is King Frederik's favorite, and this year, he measured his strength against his son, Prince Christian.

At the end of the marathon, the king confirmed that his heir had achieved victory by beating his father. Frederik finished the race in 25 minutes and 44 seconds, surprising many by being surpassed by his younger son. Christian improved his time, achieving 21 minutes and 15 seconds.

The Royal Run, inaugurated by the king himself in 2018, brings together tens of thousands of participants. The message they want to convey with this tradition is to promote community well-being and physical activity. For this reason, the entire Royal Family participates in this event to set an example and give visibility to a healthy lifestyle.

Isabella, Vincent, and Josephine joined the family one-mile race, sending a positive message of unity and health from an early age. Queen Mary ran in Korsor, while the king and Christian represented the House of Glücksburg in other cities chosen for the national race.

Prince Christian's warning to King Frederik

Long before the race began, Prince Christian predicted what would be his great victory. At 19 years old, the heir is in top shape and warned as much before the starting gun. "I'd say I'm in much better shape," he said, doubting King Frederik's abilities.

Christian highlighted how his military training has helped him have greater endurance for physical effort. This has helped him face the marathon with hardly any complications, breaking his own record and his father's.

King Frederik is passionate about running, a sport he usually practices regularly. However, this time, it has been proven that his heir has managed to surpass him by far.

The contrast between father and son in the Royal Run shows that intensive and youthful training can surpass experience and tradition. After the race, Frederik praised Christian, stating that more than winning, he cared about seeing his son surpass himself and keep a healthy lifestyle.

After all, putting competitiveness aside, that is the message the Danish Royal Family wanted to convey. Even Queen Mary confessed that she was out of shape and should have trained more.

In any case, the truth is that the Royal House enjoyed a family day where the most important thing was being together. "It's been a fantastic day," Mary confessed to the media present after finishing the race.
