Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are once again at the center of controversy after receiving the worst possible news. As has come to light, the debate over the possible revocation of their noble title has resurfaced.
This controversy arises after the couple ignored a key date for Sussex County. Their silence during the recent "Sussex Day" has caused all kinds of criticism and reactions.

Every June 16, this British region celebrates "Sussex Day," a day dedicated to honoring its history, culture, and heritage. This tradition, highly valued by local residents, aims to highlight the county's identity in the south of England.
However, the absence of any kind of acknowledgment from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has been seen as a lack of respect toward the people and its citizens.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle receive another blow: Sussex's population has turned against them
According to the portal MailOnline, former Sussex MP Tim Loughton has publicly expressed his discomfort with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's attitude.
In his view, the dukes should be stripped of their titles, since they have never shown a genuine interest in the region. This sentiment has undoubtedly gained strength, especially since their departure from the British Royal Family.

"Once again, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's interest in the county from which they continue to use their title has been, at best, disappointing," he said angrily.
Additionally, Tim Loughton has stated that "it's time we had a Duke of Sussex who has a genuine interest in our county." "Wishing Sussex residents a happy Sussex Day isn't a difficult task," he added.

Meanwhile, the former MP has also recalled that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle "rarely visited Sussex, even before leaving the United Kingdom to move to California."
Since then, their connection to the place has been practically nonexistent. "On our County Day, they haven't shown any interest in Sussex again," he stated in the aforementioned media outlet.
However, this sentiment isn't exclusive to Loughton, since, according to the same publication, several residents share his position. In recent years, and after their departure from the Royal Family, questioning among the British about the couple's continued use of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex title has grown.
For now, the Royal Family hasn't issued any statement on the matter. Nevertheless, the debate remains active, and the possibility of a future revocation can't be ruled out. Without a doubt, the relationship between the dukes and the United Kingdom seems increasingly distant.
