Hours after the death of footballer Diogo Jota and his brother, some moving images of Rute Cardoso, the athlete's widow, have come to light. In them, one can notice a detail that hasn't gone unnoticed by anyone: the young woman is held by two people she trusts.
Everyone is on edge after learning the news of the tragic death of Diogo Jota, Liverpool footballer, and his brother André Silva. Both lost their lives in a traffic accident in the province of Zamora in the early hours of this past Thursday, July 3.

A terrible event that has moved everyone, especially his wife and mother of his three children, Rute Cardoso. The young woman traveled a few hours ago to the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences of Zamora. This is the place where the corresponding autopsy was performed on the brothers.
At this moment, the press have managed to capture some sad images of the young woman that, as expected, haven't gone unnoticed at all. In fact, everyone has noticed the same detail.
Rute Cardoso reappears before the media, broken with grief after the death of Diogo Jota
Completely broken with grief, Rute Cardoso has reappeared before the media, supported by two people, who helped her leave the facility. There, Isabel da Silva, the mother of Diogo Jota and André, was also present.
Both women have appeared totally devastated by such an event, which is why they haven't wanted to make any statements to the press. This way, silence has been their only response to the suffering they were experiencing at that moment.
Jorge Mendes, Diogo Jota's agent, has been the one to offer statements. Visibly affected and holding back tears, he admitted that the situation is "very difficult." "I can't believe it," the Portuguese added to reporters.
As expected, this devastating situation has led to exceptional measures being taken. For this reason, the Junta of Castilla y León has activated the psychological assistance protocol, which aims to support all family members, something common in these cases.
Meanwhile, the families of Diogo Jota and André Silva have already set out for Portugal. The brothers' remains now rest there, having previously been identified by Rute Cardoso and Isabel da Silva.

As has already been confirmed, their farewell will take place in their homeland. The Câmara Municipal of Gondomar, the Portuguese municipality where the footballer grew up, has declared a day of municipal mourning for this Friday, July 4.
During the mourning period, the flag will fly at half-mast on all municipal buildings and facilities. In addition, the funeral ceremony will be held next Saturday at the church of that municipality. A few hours earlier, around 4:00 p.m. (16:00), 5:00 p.m. (17:00) in Spain, the wake will be held in the church chapel.
It should be noted that the tragic loss of Diogo Jota comes just 11 days after his wedding with Rute Cardoso. They met at a high school in Porto in 2013 and together formed a family with three children: Denis, Duarte, and a girl born in November.
