Confirmed: Wendy's has a new menu in the U.S. and it's much better than McDonald's

Wendy's surprises in the United States with a proposal that many already consider superior to McDonald's

The calendar may not show the change of season yet, but in the United States, the autumn atmosphere is already starting to be felt in the most popular chains. Starbucks has taken the first step with its pumpkin products, and other franchises haven't lagged behind. Wendy's, in particular, has decided to seize the moment with an offering that's generating a lot of buzz.

With a collaboration that blends dark humor and smart marketing, Wendy's has introduced a themed menu inspired by the famous Netflix series Wednesday. This new offering not only stands out for its originality, but also for surpassing the competition with a combination of flavors, design, and experience that recalls the best seasonal launches.

Wendy's launches an unexpected and dark collaboration

After previous successes with brands like Takis, Pop-Tarts, or characters like SpongeBob, Wendy's has chosen a new television icon. This time, the protagonist is Wednesday Addams, with a dark aesthetic that fits perfectly with the identity of the series. This is how the new Meal of Misfortune was born, an offering that's already caused a wave of comments on social media.

This menu includes nuggets called Rest in 10-Piece, Cursed & Crispy fries, and the new Raven's Blood Frosty, a shake with a swirl of dark cherry that stands out for its presentation. All of this comes with the Spoon of Gloom, a purple spoon with visual nods to the Nevermore Academy uniform.

In addition, the menu comes with two sauces chosen at random from the four new Dips of Dread, reveals All Recipes. These sauces, with names like You Can't Hyde or Grave Mistake, add a spicy and mysterious touch to the meal. No one knows which one you'll get until you open the package, which adds a dose of suspense that's very much in line with the Addams universe.

More than a campaign, an experience

The first thing that stands out about the menu is its presentation; Wendy's hasn't spared any details, and the packaging perfectly reflects the ironic and somber style of the series. The bag, for example, is printed with the phrase "There's nothing happy here," a clear mocking reference to McDonald's Happy Meal. Even the shake's spoon adds a thematic touch that's been very well received by fans.

Although the menu reuses classic Wendy's products, such as nuggets and fries, the added value lies in the atmosphere and new elements. The sauces stand out for their intense flavor and dark colors, perfectly in line with the series' aesthetic. Each sauce is different, and the uncertainty about which one you'll get is part of the appeal.

Without a doubt, the Raven's Blood Frosty gets the applause; the dark cherry brings a sweet yet bold flavor that's very well balanced with the shake's base. Some are already asking for this flavor to become a permanent item on the menu. It's no wonder, because it's managed to surprise even those who weren't expecting anything new in a drink.
