Bombshell! Robert Lewandowski has already replied to Saudi Arabia: 'I'm going to...'

The forward had to make a decision, and the choice has surprised all the fans: unexpected response

Barça is experiencing a great sporting moment and this is, in large part, thanks to all the academy players who have emerged from La Masia. Youngsters have always played a key role in the Catalan capital and history is repeating itself. Even so, there's always an experienced signing in the squad to bring experience, as is the case with Robert Lewandowski.

Robert Lewandowski has spent several seasons at Barça and has shown that there are few in the squad who love the club as much as he does. The Pole has been key in important moments and has stepped up when needed. Even so, the decision he made a year ago has surprised all the fans.

Robert Lewandowski's role at Barça

Barça is gradually recovering from their financial problems and is starting to move in the transfer markets. This summer, there have been interesting additions such as Marcus Rashford (on loan) and Joan García, one of the best goalkeepers at the moment. In addition to the arrivals, there have also been important contract renewals, such as that of the young star from the Catalan capital, Lamine Yamal.

Robert Lewandowski is under contract with Barça until 2026 and it isn't expected that the deal will be extended beyond that. In fact, several teams have tried to sign him, since they were aware of the situation. A year ago, the Pole received an offer that would be very difficult for any fan to turn down.

According to Pini Zahavi, his agent, a team from Arabia offered Robert Lewandowski €100 million ($100 million) per season. The representative recently spoke to Fakt, a Polish media outlet. The exact statements were: "A year ago, he received an offer from Saudi Arabia that offered him €100 million ($100 million) per season. Per season! He didn't want to go."

Robert Lewandowski turns down a huge offer

Robert Lewandowski prioritized competition and titles, something that's increasingly scarce in today's soccer landscape. The Pole wanted to keep competing at the elite level of soccer and answered "no" to an offer that had too many zeros in the contract. Although his deal with Barça won't be extended, the striker wants to remain in the Catalan capital and keep making history.

This season will be Robert Lewandowski's last with Barça, so we'll have to enjoy it. We won't know what will happen with his future until the end of the 25-26 season approaches.
