The big news about Prince Jacques, son of Charlene of Monaco, is confirmed: lots of money

An investigation reveals the million-dollar expenses of Jacques and the rest of the Monaco royal family

A French media outlet has just confirmed an unexpected piece of news about Prince Jacques, son of Charlene of Monaco. This newspaper has exposed some of the millionaire expenses of the Monaco Royal Family.

A recent investigation has revealed details about the expenses of the Monegasque Royal House. This journalistic work is based on the record books of Claude Palmero, the administrator of Albert II of Monaco for more than 20 years.

According to the information published by the newspaper Le Monde, Palmero, who was dismissed in June 2023 following accusations of financial irregularities, meticulously documented the millionaire expenses of the Grimaldi family.

Among them are several properties in Paris, a store in London, rental of a second residence in Corsica, and the hiring of nannies with expired tourist visas.

However, what has attracted the most attention is the money that Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene have spent on one of their children. Specifically on Prince Jacques.

Indeed, according to this investigation, the head of state of the Principality of Monaco and his wife have taken out several anti-kidnapping insurance policies for one of their older children.

In addition to all these expenses, a special fund of approximately 150,000 euros annually is mentioned, intended for "secret missions." In it, apparently, payments to police officers to obtain information or recover compromising photographs of the sovereign have been included.

Albert II's lawyer, Jean-Michel Darrois, has denied these accusations, stating that the prince did not approve or have knowledge of any illicit fund. Furthermore, he has pointed out that Claude Palmero managed the family's assets without adequately informing them.

Meanwhile, Palmero claims that his dismissal is due to his denunciation of corrupt practices within the principality, for which he is claiming one million euros from the palace.

The investigation also highlights the high spending of Princess Charlene of Monaco on clothing and jewelry. According to the records, her annual allocation in 2023 was approximately 1.5 million euros, and it is estimated that she has spent about 15 million euros in the last eight years.

All these revelations come at a particularly delicate time for Monaco. The country is preparing for an evaluation by Moneyval, the anti-money laundering body of the Council of Europe, in 2024.

Prince Albert II, who assumed the throne in 2005 after the death of his father, Rainier III, has emphasized the importance of ethics in the administration of the principality.

For this reason, this information has now caused a strong debate about transparency and financial management in the Monegasque Royal Family. Thus calling into question the image of austerity that Prince Jacques's father has tried to project in recent years.

Moreover, as if that were not enough, a few days ago, the privileged position of Prince Jacques also came to light. It has emerged that he is going to inherit a great fortune from his father, which will make him one of the richest men in Europe.
