King Charles III has made an unexpected and decisive decision regarding Prince Archie that has surely left more than one person speechless inside Buckingham Palace. As it has emerged, the monarch has chosen to keep a distant relationship with his grandson due to tensions with Prince Harry.
As a result of the ongoing conflict he keeps with his son, the current British monarch has missed some of the key moments in the lives of his youngest grandchildren. In fact, according to a confidant, he still suffers in silence due to the limited relationship he keeps with Archie and Lilibet.

However, even though he misses his son and grandchildren since they moved to California and distanced themselves from the royal environment, Charles III has made a decisive decision.
A close source assures that the king remains firm in his commitment to prioritize his institutional responsibilities. So much so that, to this day, his priority remains ensuring the stability and future of the monarchy.
"The King doesn't like conflicts and would love for all this to be solved," the anonymous source told Grazia magazine. "But Harry has to regain trust. In that sense, the ball is in his court," he added.
The firm decision Charles III has made with Prince Archie and his sister is revealed
On the other hand, this confidant made it very clear that Charles III "loves his son and is very sad for not having spent time with Archie and Lilibet." "But Harry hasn't facilitated reconciliation," he added.
The truth is that, for the British king, it is very hard to see how his grandchildren are growing up practically distanced from the British royal family. In fact, it is said that the monarch feels a deep desire to strengthen ties with them.

Since Harry and Meghan left their royal duties in 2020, they have returned to the United Kingdom on few occasions. A series of visits that have been limited to significant family events, such as Queen Elizabeth II's funeral or King Charles III's coronation, among others.
However, even though there is a clear distance between them, it is said that the monarch hasn't closed the door to a possible reconciliation. "He is a magnanimous man, not malicious... But his priority is the preservation of the monarchy," one of his close associates stated.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry has expressed his intention to restore ties with his family, from which he currently remains distant. The Duke of Sussex traveled to London earlier this month for a previously arranged legal commitment, although he didn't manage to meet with his father.
However, some royal experts believe that words alone are not enough. In fact, commentator Robert Jobson stated in Hello! magazine that Harry's attempts might have been more effective if he had been clearer and more direct with Charles III:
"Harry should have told his father: 'I'm sorry, I was wrong. I made a mistake, but I want to reconcile'[...]Reading between the lines, it's obvious that Harry was making overtures to his father. The only way to solve this is for Charles to offer Harry another chance for reconciliation."
