Princess Amalia of the Netherlands is the focus of all eyes whenever she attends an official engagement, whether with her parents or alone. A few weeks ago, the heiress attended a banquet organized at the Royal Palace of Amsterdam, and what caught the most attention about her outfit was the chosen tiara. One of the jewels of the Dutch crown that has now been revealed to be, moreover, a dream come true for the princess.
"I love tiaras, show me a tiara and I'll know where it comes from. I can recognize all the tiaras in Europe." With these words, the princess challenged Claudia de Breij, a writer who sketched Amalia's profile when the heiress came of age.
It was in the fall of 2021 when the young woman revealed her interest in tiaras and royal jewelers. Since she was a child, thanks to her grandmother, Queen Beatrix, and her mother, Amalia had access to these accessories, of which she declares herself a great admirer.
Amalia of the Netherlands Has Confessed Her Great Passion: Royal Tiaras
During the aforementioned state dinner offered on the occasion of the official visit of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman, Amalia of the Netherlands wore the iconic ruby tiara. A jewel crafted in 1888 by the jeweler Mellerio at the request of King William III, an ancestor of the princess, for his wife, Queen Emma.

A piece that contains 385 precious stones, including interchangeable diamonds and rubies, and that Queen Máxima has used in different official events over the years. Although the tiara has a considerable height, it doesn't seem to be an inconvenience for Amalia, who wears this type of accessory with ease.
In fact, this was not the first time the daughter of the Dutch kings wore this tiara. In the past, she had already worn it, albeit in the privacy of the palace.

Being one of the favorites of Máxima of the Netherlands and her daughter, it remains to be seen if it is a temporary loan or if it is part of the heiress's jewelry collection. Although Amalia doesn't yet have her own agenda, what has become clear is that she has managed to capture the spotlight at official events.
