Precisely, this personal transformation was the central theme in his interview on El Objetivo. Last Sunday, May 4, Ana Pastor's program aired the closest and most intimate conversation of the actor and his wife, Alejandra Silva.

After this unexpected but amusing confession, Ana Pastor challenged none other than Richard Gere. The host suggested that the next interview be, at least in part, in Spanish.

"We're working on it," Alejandra Silva replied with humor. Even so, the actor ventured with some phrases in Spanish, making clear his intention to want to improve his Spanish. Although he still lacks practice, he assured that the will is present.

Apart from this small setback, Richard Gere dedicated several compliments to Spain. In particular, he was delighted with Galicia, his wife's homeland: "When she talks about her land, it seems like she comes from paradise."

However, despite this connection with Alejandra Silva's roots, the actor also enjoys his life in Madrid, a city he describes as "one of the most beautiful in the world." The capital of Spain has given him what he was so looking for: anonymity and closeness with people.

Something Richard Gere was able to experience during the blackout that affected Spain and part of Europe a few days ago. That day, the actor was landing in Barcelona when the electricity began to fail:

"They told me not to move, but I got in the car and everything was very calm. No one was angry, everyone was kind... It was like: 'You go ahead.'[...]There is a sweetness in Spaniards."

Meanwhile, Richard Gere and Alejandra Silva addressed other topics, including their fight against homelessness in Spain. "We want to end this situation in six years. There are 30,000 people, it's something manageable," Alejandra assured.
