The weather in Catalonia keeps its course, and many experts review the forecasts every day for a new day. This Thursday, we will already notice some changes compared to yesterday, but it won't be a radical shift. However, experts like Eloi Cordomí have shared the most updated forecasts for this day.
We can say that Catalonia will experience a new day marked by atmospheric instability, especially from midday. It is worth noting that the weather change won't be very significant, as the rainfall will be less intense. Even so, the meteorologist has insisted that we will have rain and showers in many areas, especially in Barcelona and the Pyrenees.
Although the day started with thin clouds, the situation will change over the next few hours with the appearance of denser clouds and showers, some accompanied by storms. The maps indicate that the rainfall will mainly affect the Pyrenees, Central Catalonia, and, more sporadically, the coast and pre-coastal areas of Barcelona. A few drops might also fall in the north of Tarragona.
Localized showers in the middle of May
These rains, which will appear as downpours, could be occasionally intense and come with electrical activity, as happened in previous days. Despite the increase in cloudiness and rain, temperatures won't experience a significant drop. In fact, the highs are expected to be slightly higher than in previous days.
However, the thermal sensation could vary due to the change in wind direction. The main meteorological novelty of the day will be the entry of the tramontane in Empordà and the mistral in the Ebro Valley, especially from midday. Both winds will blow with moderate intensity, contributing to a drier environment in much of the territory.
However, this decrease in humidity won't reach the Barcelona regions with the same strength. It is there where a more charged environment will be kept, prone to new rainfall. Eloi Cordomí has warned that, although the showers won't be widespread, it is advisable to stay alert to the sky's evolution.

Some storms could form quickly and pour down in short periods. In this sense, caution is recommended if outdoor activities are planned, especially in mountain areas or natural environments. With all this, Eloi Cordomí states that Catalonia faces a combination of atmospheric elements today that will complicate the day.
Clouds, rain, isolated storms, and the incursion of northern winds, without this implying relief in temperatures. Meteorological uncertainty will persist at least until the end of the day, making this one of the most unstable days of the week. However, the weekend will come with an oasis of warmth and good weather.
