Queen Camilla and King Charles III of England celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary last month. Two decades of marriage, which some didn't bet on, that enjoys the same good health as the first day. What the son of the British sovereign's wife didn't know is that one of the royal couple's tricks is that they sleep in separate bedrooms.
It was Helena Chard, a journalist specializing in the British royal family, who revealed to Fox News what happens behind palace doors. "At Clarence House, they have the privilege of having their own rooms in addition to the shared one," revealed the photographer and television presenter.

Two years ago, it came to light that Charles and Camilla each have a bedroom in addition to a shared one in their residence. According to what was published in the British press at the time, the main reason for this room arrangement was decided due to the back pain that Charles III has suffered from for a long time.

To this fact, one must add the couple's desire to keep a certain independence. It should also be remembered that King Charles and Camilla each have their own house to which they can go at any time in addition to the home they share at Clarence House. Specifically, Charles III's house is Highgrove House, and Ray Mill House is the consort's.

This custom of opting for separate bedrooms is not exclusive to the current British royals. Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh already kept this tradition in their private quarters at Buckingham Palace.
Other members of European royalty, like the King of Sweden, meanwhile, acknowledged that he and Queen Silvia have separate bathrooms. A detail that was revealed in a documentary recorded on the occasion of the aforementioned sovereign's 50 years of reign.

Asked if he had any recommendations on marital relationships, the Swede was sincere. Carl Gustaf then explained that, in the case of a marriage not having two bathrooms, the best thing they can do is "install one in the basement."
It's not clear if the custom of sleeping in separate rooms of King Charles III and Camilla is the key to their marriage. Even so, the truth is that theirs was one of the most improbable and at the same time most successful royal weddings in history.

Additionally, in recent years, Queen Camilla has strengthened her image by being the great support of the king during cancer treatment, an essential support for him to continue facing his reign.
