Once again, Queen Máxima has left the people of the Netherlands speechless with the latest personal decision she has made. She didn't think twice about rescuing one of her favorite dresses from her wardrobe, a piece she wears publicly year after year.
There is no doubt that this Tuesday, June 17, has been a very significant day for European royalty. However, although the respective appearances of Kate Middleton and Queen Letizia haven't gone unnoticed, it was Queen Máxima who managed to capture all the attention.

A few hours ago, the sovereign traveled to The Hague to fulfill a very important engagement, linked to her role as honorary president of the More Music in the Classroom initiative.
There, Queen Máxima signed a new Musical Education agreement at the Royal Conservatory, thus strengthening her support for culture and artistic education.

Nevertheless, despite the great significance of this event, all eyes were on the monarch's unbelievable hand-painted dress. It's a piece she takes out of her wardrobe every year to wear in front of the rest of the citizens.
Queen Máxima leaves the people of the Netherlands speechless with the outfit she chose for the occasion
For this day, Queen Máxima opted for a dark blue silk piqué sleeveless dress, with a defined waist and an A-line skirt, designed by Natan.
This garment includes an interesting detail: its white paisley scarf-style motifs were hand-painted using stencils and fabric paint. It's a handcrafted finish that, without a doubt, reinforces the unique character of the design.

As has emerged, Queen Máxima has worn this dress on four occasions since 2022. The first was during the Appeltjes van Oranje Awards, on May 12 of that year. She then reused it on February 7, 2023, and August 29, 2024, showing her preference for this piece.
Taking these dates into account, it can be seen that, in addition to wearing it once a year, King Willem-Alexander's wife has worn it in every season except autumn.
It's a customized garment, since it was initially designed as a set with a long top and wide pants. However, Queen Máxima transformed it into a completely exclusive dress, a decision that highlights her personal style and her ability to adapt fashion to her taste.
Finally, the monarch completed her look with a white knit cardigan draped over her shoulders and a blue leather clutch. On her feet, she wore strappy sandals with thin heels. As a final touch, she chose long beaded earrings.
