Antonio Banderas and Nicole Kimpel make a big decision: the time has finally come

Antonio Banderas and Nicole Kimpel couldn't be happier with the start of construction on their Marbella home

Antonio Banderas and Nicole Kimpel are once again at the center of attention. The reason is that the couple's latest major decision has come to light. Apparently, they've finally started building their new residence in Marbella.

After all the problems they've had in recent months, the actor's new home has begun to take shape. Located in the exclusive Los Monteros development, the property symbolizes a new chapter in this well-known actor's life.

The chosen name for the residence, Mi Calle, is already displayed on one of the exterior walls. This name replaces the iconic inscription Mi Gaviota, which had accompanied him since the 1990s.

As has emerged, construction is progressing quickly and the pillars for two of the house's floors have already been erected. Antonio Banderas and Nicole Kimpel's future mansion is located right on the beach and will have three floors and approximately 5,382 sq. ft. (500 meters).

For its construction, Andalusian materials are being used, such as the characteristic ceramic bricks from the company Suspiro del Moro. The project is being carried out by the construction company La Cuveña, and excitement has quickly arisen among neighbors and onlookers.

All the details about Antonio Banderas and Nicole Kimpel's new residence in Marbella

The design of this residence follows the predominant style in contemporary Marbella, with clean lines, open spaces, and large windows facing the sea. This minimalist architecture is reminiscent of the London apartment where Antonio Banderas has lived in recent years.

For this reason, everything suggests that Nicole Kimpel's partner has opted for a sober and modern aesthetic. The actor wanted to integrate the attractive natural surroundings with the interior of his mansion.

Antonio Banderas has entrusted the decoration of his new residence to Pedro Peña, a close friend and his trusted interior designer. In fact, this professional had already worked with him on another of his properties in Málaga.

"We decorated the Málaga penthouse with very personal objects. This time, the style still needs to be defined, because everything must be discussed with Antonio," Peña explained to the newspaper ABC.

However, the legality of Antonio Banderas's new residence remains shrouded in great uncertainty. In that area, there are 16,500 homes whose legal status remains unsolved after the Supreme Court annulled their legalization.

In fact, the actor's previous house, built in 1995, was affected by the Coastal Law and an annulment of the urban development plan. Faced with this situation, Antonio Banderas had to comply with a demolition order.

"I bought the house from a third party with all the paperwork in order and if the City Council deceived me, I bear no responsibility," Nicole Kimpel's partner confessed at the time.

The original mansion belonged to journalist Encarna Sánchez, who received the land from then-mayor Jesús Gil as thanks for her electoral support. Years later, Antonio Banderas bought the property from Sánchez's heir, but he couldn't prevent its demolition.

According to the aforementioned newspaper, the land where the new residence is being built has a designated public use. Although the City Council is granting permits, the land is legally intended for a municipal desalination plant.

That's why the current concession could face future challenges. This is because the 1986 General Plan, which is still in force today, doesn't allow the construction of homes on that plot.
