Matices will premiere on June 5, 2025, with the first three episodes available initially, followed by one new episode each week. After years working in Hollywood, Elsa believes the "time to return" to accepting projects in her country and native language has arrived. "It's been quite an experience to work in Spanish again, since for a long time I've only spoken in English," she said in an interview.

"There comes a time when it's a break for the brain to be able to work in your mother tongue," she added. This decision gave rise to this new series that has taken Hemsworth's wife to film in several areas of Spanish geography. In addition, it has brought her back to Spain to promote the series by appearing on shows such as El Hormiguero.

For Pataky, returning to her roots has been rewarding and much easier than filming in English. In fact, she's eager to repeat the experience and accept new projects "whether they're for television or film."

Chris Hemsworth knows Elsa Pataky is ready to return home

Elsa's return to Spain is not only about filming in Spanish, it also represents her time to return to work. For years, Pataky prioritized her family life in Australia with her husband, Chris Hemsworth, and their three children, temporarily stepping away from acting.

The actress has already expressed that, although she sacrificed part of her career for motherhood, she doesn't regret having made that personal decision. Now, with her children growing up, Pataky feels it's the right time to resume professional projects. What better way to do it than in her language and her home country.

The series promises an intense plot, centered on six patients who gather in a wine cellar to complete psychological treatment, triggering unexpected events. This project represents for Pataky an opportunity to reconnect with the Spanish audience and explore complex characters in her mother tongue.

With Matices, the Madrid native not only returns to Spanish television, she also reaffirms her passion for acting and her connection to her roots.

Elsa said that, although at home she tries to have her children learn Spanish, with Chris she only speaks in English. However, the Avengers actor does enjoy Spanish traditions and has frequently traveled to our country. Nevertheless, neither he nor his wife would trade the peaceful and wild life in Australia for Spain.
