Kate Middleton has once again raised alarms inside Buckingham Palace. According to reports, the Princess of Wales didn't hesitate to contact her bodyguard to make an important confession related to her son George.
As everyone already knows, nothing is left to chance in the British royal family, especially when it comes to the safety of its members. In fact, over the years, some of the rules that must be followed within the institution have come to light.

However, one of the strictest and least known rules is that heirs to the throne must not travel together on the same plane. This drastic measure, although it may seem extreme, has a logical explanation: to guarantee the line of succession in case of an accident.
According to the protocol of the British royal family, this rule is implemented when the young heir is old enough to make these trips alone. This age is around 12 years (12 años).

Now, after Prince George reached this age on July 22, the institution has implemented this preventive measure. This has caused some discomfort for Kate Middleton.
So much so that she quickly contacted her bodyguard to talk about her eldest son's new situation. She took this opportunity to lay out her conditions.
Kate Middleton lays out her conditions for her son George to travel alone
Although she doesn't fully agree with this measure, since her son George is still very young to travel alone, Kate Middleton has agreed to comply with this rule. However, according to reports, she has asked for something in return: for her son's security to be reinforced.
The rule states that two direct heirs to the throne must not share a flight. However, when one of them is still very young, an exception can be made. In fact, parents can request permission from the royal family to travel together.

This is exactly what happened in 2022. That year, Prince William traveled with his son George, who was 9 years old (9 años), during an official tour. However, they first had to request special permission from Queen Elizabeth II.
This rule also applies to other means of transportation, such as helicopters, especially when weather conditions aren't the safest. The intention is simple: to protect the stability of the monarchy in the face of any unforeseen event.
Currently, with Prince George occupying second place in the line of succession, this rule remains in force. Although times have changed and logistics are more flexible, Buckingham Palace still considers separation during travel a necessary precautionary measure.
