Prince Harry, 40: 'It's very sad that my children still can't…'

Prince Harry opens up and publicly reveals what saddens him most about his children's reality

From California, Prince Harry has conveyed a feeling of sadness toward his children and what they're experiencing. Breaking ties with the British Royal Family has brought unexpected consequences that the little ones, Archie and Lilibet, are paying for.

Harry wants the situation to experience a positive change, especially for the sake of his children. However, tensions continue to prevent both sides from giving in. Until this happens, King Charles III's grandchildren will remain the main victims.

Prince Harry shows what his greatest concern is

Prince Harry has expressed on several occasions his deep regret over the distance that separates him from his family. Although his actions have been full of contradictions, since he hasn't stopped lashing out at the Crown whenever he has had the chance. However, if there's something that stays fixed in his mind, it's his concern for his children.

He showed this in an interview for the BBC where he confessed what saddens him most about this family estrangement. "It's very sad that my children still can't visit my country," he confessed with sincerity in his voice. Harry regrets that since 2020, when he and Meghan left their royal duties, their automatic police protection was revoked.

This prevents his children from visiting the United Kingdom without risks and from having the little ones' safety guaranteed. That physical barrier is what fuels his sadness and his greatest concern. Prince Harry has tried to fight to recover that police protection, but he hasn't succeeded.

By voluntarily leaving the Royal Family, the United Kingdom isn't required to keep its security measures. For this reason, after moving to California, that protection was withdrawn and Harry doesn't risk traveling to England.

"I can't put my wife in danger that way, and given my experiences, I'm reluctant to put myself unnecessarily in danger as well," he explained. For this reason, he is saddened that, because of his problems with the Crown, it's his children who pay the consequences and don't know their origins.

Prince Harry advocates for reconciliation

There is another feeling besides sadness that clouds Prince Harry's daily life in California: it's his desire for reconciliation. In the same interview, he stated, "I'd love to reconcile with my family, it doesn't make sense to keep fighting, life is precious."

These words carry more weight since King Charles III, with whom he doesn't speak because of the security issue, was diagnosed with cancer. Harry is desperate to reconcile with him, fearing that he may not have much time left.

However, he doesn't intend to give in and risk exposing his family. "At this moment, I can't imagine a possible return with my wife and children back to the United Kingdom," he said. In fact, the prince states that only his children could travel to England if the Royal Family invite them.

Something that doesn't seem to have happened, since, for now, Lilibet and Archie still don't know their British roots. Although Harry tries to share part of his culture with them from afar, what he most wants is for them to set foot on the land where he grew up.

Seeing that time passes without a peace move from his family, it's Prince Harry who has taken the first step. A few days ago, there was talk of a secret meeting between his representatives and those of King Charles III. The goal is to foster a reconciliation in which both must do their part.

Harry is sincere in extending his hand and, as a sign, has made his official schedule available to his family. A small gesture that could change everything in the coming months. Who knows, maybe soon, at last, Harry's children will visit the United Kingdom with all security guarantees.
