During one of his latest public appearances, Prince Harry has revealed why he can't forgive Charles III. According to what he explained, after his departure from the Royal Family, he felt deeply hurt by the way his father let the press and social media attack Meghan.
There's no doubt that what began as a fairy tale ended up being a true nightmare for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Even though their love story inspired all of the United Kingdom, over time and under media pressure, that hope turned into an irreversible fracture.

However, the turning point came during an official trip to South Africa. This was a trip that Prince Harry and his wife made in 2019, accompanied by their son Archie.
It was in that country where both confessed to feeling overwhelmed by public and media scrutiny. In fact, upon their return to the United Kingdom, they began to shape the decision that would change their lives: their exit from the British Royal Family.
That step back marked the first major rift between Prince Harry and Charles III. So much so that, since then, the gap between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Windsors has only grown wider.
Now, five and a half years later, Prince Harry has once again spoken publicly about that very difficult period in his life. He did so during a surprise solo visit to New York.

Prince Harry reveals the reason that keeps him from making peace with his father, Charles III
During the past weekend, Prince Harry, youngest son of King Charles III, took part in the Nexus Global Summit. This is an important summit held in the city of skyscrapers.
This event brought together more than 350 philanthropists, influential entrepreneurs, and impact investors to discuss the global challenges of the present and future. There, the Duke of Sussex shared reflections on volunteering, community, and his own personal experience.
Among the topics discussed in the various sessions were artificial intelligence, climate change, mental health, social justice, and ethical fashion. However, last Friday, June 27, attendees were surprised to learn the name of the surprise speaker: Prince Harry.

During his speech, Charles III's son emphasized the value of volunteering and the importance of building strong communities in the face of social disconnection. What drew the most attention were his statements about Meghan Markle. Harry wanted to speak openly about the harm his wife suffered as a result of the media and digital exposure she faced.
During his public conversation with Rachel Gerrol, co-founder of Nexus Global, the Duke of Sussex explained the origins of the Archewell Foundation. This organization was created with the mission of combating isolation, both in physical and digital environments.
"We started meeting many parents who had lost their children because of social media. That's when it really started to make sense for us," said the Duke of Sussex.
After this difficult confession, Prince Harry stressed that the digital environment was especially concerning to him. All of this was because of the traumatic experience that Meghan Markle went through several years ago.

"One of the reasons why the digital world was so important to us is because my wife, in 2018, was the most defamed person in the world," he said next.
This is a topic that both already addressed in 2020, during their participation in a well-known podcast. "For eight months, I wasn't even visible, I was on maternity leave with the baby, but what was published is almost insurmountable... It's so big that you can't even imagine what it feels like," she said.
