Princess Leonor, ready to say goodbye: her sister Sofía still hasn't come to terms with it

Very soon, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía's paths will inevitably part ways again

Princess Leonor is already ready to say goodbye once again to Infanta Sofía. The daughters of the kings are making the most of their last days together as a family before their paths separate again. After months apart, the weight of their respective responsibilities will once again keep them apart.

Everything is ready for the next destination marked in Leonor's military life. These months after disembarking from Elcano have allowed the princess to make up for lost time. However, September is just around the corner and, with it, comes the moment of the sad farewell.

Princess Leonor prepares to say goodbye once again to Infanta Sofía

Summer is the ideal time to rest and disconnect from daily obligations. However, it also brings farewells that mark the nostalgia for the time spent together during these months. This is what Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía will soon face.

Leonor is ready to say goodbye to Sofía at the beginning of September as she enters the Air Force. When September arrives, the princess will begin her new stage at the General Air and Space Academy in Murcia. This place, very close to the sea, combines military tradition with modern spaces.

There, she will live for several months, in buildings that were once part of the Murcia-San Javier airport, adapted for maneuvers, sports, study, and living together in shared barracks. Infanta Sofía still hasn't come to terms with the fact that, once again, she will have to spend several months without being by her older sister's side.

Their reunion in mid-June caused great excitement, as they were finally together as a family again. They have been sharing not only their life at Zarzuela, but also official events in which Leonor and Sofía have shown their closeness.

However, it is time to say goodbye again and begin a new stage. In the case of the princess, she is approaching the final stretch of her military training. After graduating from the Army and the Navy, now it is time for the Air Academy.

Princess Leonor heads to Murcia while Infanta Sofía goes to Lisbon

Princess Leonor is in a crucial stage of her military training, which concludes at the General Air Academy (AGA). The choice of Murcia as the site of her training is no coincidence. AGA has top-level facilities and an impeccable reputation in the field of air military training.

The facilities include about 150 buildings with classrooms, dining halls, a sports pavilion, and spaces to learn comfortably and with high standards. Each cadet has an individual bed, desk, wardrobe, and access to shared showers and locker rooms. Therefore, Leonor will once again share her daily life with the rest of her peers.

This new destination marks another moment when Infanta Sofía and Princess Leonor are temporarily separated again. Meanwhile, the heiress's entry into AGA coincides with Infanta Sofía's departure to Lisbon.

Sofía has declined to follow Leonor's military path and has chosen to continue her education at university. Thus, the farewell will be twofold: with Leonor in Murcia and Sofía in the Portuguese capital.

Although both sisters keep a close relationship, their educational paths are taking them in different directions. This separation, although temporary, is part of each one's individual maturation process.

Princess Leonor faces a promising future, where her leadership skills and preparation will be essential. Infanta Sofía's life, meanwhile, continues with her personal and academic development. September will separate them again, but with the promise of reuniting when their obligations allow it.
