Surprise in Monaco: Princess Caroline makes a decision about Albert of Monaco's child

Many have been left speechless upon learning the reason behind Princess Carolina's personal decision

Part of Monaco's population has been left speechless after learning about the unexpected decision Princess Caroline has made regarding her brother Prince Albert of Monaco's children.

Over the years, the eldest daughter of Rainier and Grace of Monaco has managed to leave behind her youthful mistakes, thus forging a more discreet and mature image. So much so that she rarely makes missteps in the public eye.

It's precisely that caution that has turned Princess Caroline into an unbreakable figure within the Principality. That's why it's not surprising that a small yet revealing detail hasn't gone unnoticed.

According to reports, years ago she made the decision not to be seen in public with Jazmin Grace and Alexandre Grimaldi, Prince Albert of Monaco's two illegitimate children.

These two young people were born outside Prince Albert of Monaco's marriage, during two relationships the sovereign kept before marrying Charlene of Monaco. For that reason, the relationship between the young people and their paternal family has always been distant.

Meanwhile, Princess Caroline seems to have very clear boundaries within the Grimaldi family tree. In fact, she knows perfectly well what her place is and what her descendants' place is.

After the tragic death of Stefano Casiraghi, the three children she had with him weren't recognized by the Church, since she never requested the annulment of her marriage. This detail placed the princess in a delicate situation regarding Andrea, Charlotte, and Pierre's status.

However, that circumstance was solved when John Paul II signed a decree in 1993 legitimizing her three children with Casiraghi. This ecclesiastical recognition allowed them to regain their place in the Principality's line of succession. Since then, Caroline has felt deep gratitude toward the pontiff.

With a presence much more elegant than media-driven, Princess Caroline is considered the most aristocratic figure among the Grimaldi. Although she doesn't usually appear at official events, she is present at essential dates for the Principality, among them National Day and the Rose Ball.

Meanwhile, Jazmin Grace and Alexandre Grimaldi have been in Monaco on rare occasions. However, their presence has never coincided with protocol or family events.

Everything indicates that they still aren't fully integrated into the Grimaldi's institutional life. It's even said that Charlene wouldn't have a close relationship with the young people. In line with this, Princess Caroline hasn't appeared in public with them either.

Despite this family distance, Prince Albert of Monaco keeps a close relationship with them. So much so that he has tried to include them in his public life. Proof of this is when Jazmin Grace accompanied him in October to New York to attend the Princess Grace Awards gala, in honor of her grandmother.

Meanwhile, in statements to Point de Vue, Alexandre Grimaldi stated that he keeps a cordial relationship with his siblings Jacques and Gabriella. However, his strongest connection is with Jazmin Grace, probably because they share a similar situation.
