The people of Denmark have been left speechless by the latest and unexpected confession King Frederik has made about his marriage to Queen Mary. He shared these words during one of his latest public appearances.
Last week, the Danish monarchs traveled to the Faroe Islands, where they took part in several memorable meetings as part of their first official visit to this North Atlantic territory.

During their stay, both King Frederik and Queen Mary received a warm welcome from the citizens, who have closely followed every appearance by the monarchs. This trip has undoubtedly been key to strengthening the ties between the Danish Royal House and the Faroese population.
This visit, which lasted for three days, concluded last Friday, June 13, with a busy and symbolic agenda. This time, the royals were accompanied by their youngest daughter, Princess Josephine, who is 14 years old.

However, one of the most moving moments took place on June 11, during a gala dinner held at the Hotel Foroyar in Tórshavn. This was precisely the first town King Frederik and Queen Mary visited after disembarking from the Royal Yacht Dannebrog.
This event, which brought together 188 guests, became the ideal setting for a heartfelt speech. There, King Frederik delivered words that managed to move everyone present.
King Frederik dedicates emotional words to Queen Mary and their four children during his speech
During his speech, King Frederik dedicated affectionate words to Queen Mary and their children, Crown Prince Christian and Princes Isabella, Vincent, and Josephine.

According to the newspaper Billed Bladet, the monarch began his address by thanking everyone for the welcome, before sharing some anecdotes about the country. At that moment, he highlighted the value of family unity:
"Thank you very much for the personal, fine, and well-crafted words that the Lord Chancellor has addressed to my wife, to me, and to our children. For us, our children are part of our unity. What keeps us together in our family, which is half of our population."
Next, King Frederik also wanted to highlight the bond his family has with the Faroe Islands: "They have everything and hold a special place in my family's heart."
Meanwhile, Queen Mary's husband recalled that he had already visited them in his youth with his mother. "They are important to my mother, Queen Margrethe, who has asked me to send you her regards," he added.
In addition, King Frederik did not want to miss the opportunity to confirm that his four children have also been fortunate enough to be there and experience it:
"For Queen Mary, for me, and for our children, who in 2018 shared this experience together, exactly 40 years after my first visit. I wonder if, these days, the other three are sending an envious thought to Josephine."
