We enter the private island where Prince William escapes with his son George

Some details about Prince William's favorite island and his eldest son, Prince George, come to light

Prince William once again becomes the center of attention. This comes after all the details have emerged about the private island he frequently visits with his son George and other members of his family.

On February 16, many people expected to see Kate Middleton during the BAFTA gala held in London. However, her plans for Valentine's Day were different. Instead of attending this important social event, both she and her husband chose to disconnect in a paradisiacal destination.

The previous Thursday, Prince William and his wife took a commercial flight, in business class, to the Caribbean. There, in Saint Lucia, they boarded a private jet to the island of Mustique. This is a very special place for the British royal family, since it was one of Princess Margaret's favorites.

However, this isn't the only time the future British king has visited this paradisiacal and discreet island. As has emerged, on more than one occasion, the royal has escaped there with his son George.

All about Mustique, Prince William's and the rest of the British royal family's favorite private island

Mustique is located within the Grenadines archipelago and has restricted access for those who aren't staying there. Only those who stay in the villas or in the hotel owned by the company that owns the territory can enter it.

The company in charge of managing Mustique also has its own airline that operates flights from Saint Lucia, Martinique, or Barbados. However, those who prefer to arrive by sea can also do so by boat from Saint Vincent.

As has emerged, the island has more than 80 villas of different styles and capacities, all of them adapted to the tastes of their guests. One of the most iconic is Les Jolies Eaux, designed by Oliver Messel exclusively for Princess Margaret.

This accommodation, which can host up to ten adults and two children, has five bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. This villa was inherited by Princess Margaret's son and later sold to businessman Jim Murray.

Its rental in high season, between January and April, amounts to about 44,890 euros per week. The luxurious residence is a benchmark in terms of history, design, and exclusivity on the island.

In the series The Crown, Mustique is portrayed as Princess Margaret's personal refuge. In contrast, Queen Elizabeth II only visited it on a few occasions: it is known that she went in 1966, 1977, and 1985.

Meanwhile, Prince William and his wife frequently visit this Caribbean destination located off the coast of Venezuela. However, during their stays, they stay at Villa Antilles, a more affordable residence.

This villa, which combines a colonial style with modern functionality, is located very close to the island's main activities and stands out for its sober yet comfortable design. It also has four bedrooms with private bathrooms, a large terrace, and a 59 ft. (18 m) infinity pool.

Between January and April, it is known that the rental is around 40,115 euros per week, including all services. The price also covers a chef, butler, daily cleaning, and full board during the stay.

The first time the couple visited Mustique was in 2008. Since then, they have returned on numerous occasions, especially since Andrew Dunn, Prince William's friend, bought the house and transformed it.
