Vodafone has issued a key notice for all its customers who need to send their mobile phones for repair. Before starting the repair process, it is essential to follow some crucial steps. This prevents any delays and ensures proper management of the technical service.
If you are going to repair your mobile with the operator, there are three basic things you must not forget. First, unlock your personal accounts.
If your phone has security systems activated like "Find My iPhone" or "Samsung Protect," you must deactivate them before handing it over. Otherwise, the technical service won't be able to start the repair. This is because these systems prevent full access to the device.

Secondly, it is important to make a backup. During the repair process, mobile phones are restored to factory settings. That means all your data, photos, apps, and settings will be erased.
To avoid losing anything important, make a backup in the cloud or on another device.
Lastly, before requesting the repair, check if the battery lasts long enough. In many cases, mobile performance issues are due to a worn-out battery. Reporting this can facilitate the diagnosis and avoid further visits to the technical service.
Options to repair your mobile with Vodafone
Vodafone gives you three ways to access its mobile repair service, whether you have an iPhone or an Android. They are requesting home pickup online, requesting home pickup by phone, or going to a Vodafone store.

In all three cases, you will receive SMS messages to inform you about the status of the repair. When the repair is finished, you will be given a technical report with everything that has been done to the mobile. Additionally, you will have a 3-month warranty on the repair performed.
Vodafone also informs that there are situations where the warranty doesn't apply. One of them is if the mobile is more than three years old since its purchase. The second, if it has been tampered with or has non-original parts.
Lastly, it will be if it shows damage from drops, impacts, or improper use. Even so, even if your mobile is out of warranty, you can request a repair. Vodafone commits to fixing the device within five working days.
