This June 23 has been one of the most difficult days for Ana Obregón because her son, Aless Lequio, would have turned 33 years old. The young entrepreneur passed away on May 13, 2020, due to cancer, specifically, he suffered from Ewing's sarcoma. Since then, every anniversary has been an open wound for his mother.
Ana wanted to pay a heartfelt tribute to Aless. She did so through her Instagram account, where she has more than one million followers. The message deeply moved her fans and all of Spain.

"Today marks 33 years since the happiest day of my entire existence," Ana began by saying. "Today marks 33 years since I met and hugged for the first time the love of my life," she added.
Ana Obregón speaks about her Aless Lequio through her social media
The presenter recalled that Aless was born "on the most magical night of the year." She highlighted how, in his short life, her son managed to "enchant everyone who met him with his light."
Ana's words were heartbreaking: "Every year I gave you a gift and on your last birthday I wanted to give you life. It couldn't be," she confessed. Ana didn't want to pretend to be happy on such a painful day: "I'd be lying to myself if I wished you a happy birthday," she said forcefully.

She imagined what the celebration would be like if Aless were alive. "You'd be here blowing out the candles with your father @alessandrolequiosr, your mother, and your daughter," she wrote. She added a phrase full of love: "Today you turn 33 and Anita will blow out the candles for you."

Ana shared two very emotional images because in the first, she is seen holding Aless in her arms when he was a child. In the second, a cake with candles forming the number 33. A simple symbol, but full of meaning.

Social media have rallied around Ana Obregón. Thousands of people have commented on the post with messages of affection and support. Many have shared their pain and remembered Aless.
With her words, Ana has once again shown that a mother's love knows no boundaries. Not even those of death. She has moved half of Spain and has kept, once again, the memory of her son alive.
