Tension is rising inside Buckingham Palace. All this comes after the latest decision King Charles III has made regarding his children, which will surely mark a turning point for the institution.
A few days ago, some details emerged about the secret meeting held by Prince Harry's and Charles III's representatives at a well-known club in London. Now, after learning that the meeting went as planned, some unexpected information has come to light.

As has been confirmed, King Charles III has introduced changes to the protocol for his funeral, hinting at what his relationship with his two sons is currently like. This decision presents a new scenario in which there appears to be an attempt at reconciliation with both of them.
Despite the ups and downs he has had with the Duke of Sussex in recent years, everything suggests that the monarch has decided to leave past conflicts behind. So much so that he has chosen to give both of his sons the same prominence during his funeral.
King Charles makes a firm decision regarding his two sons that has surely shaken Buckingham Palace
According to journalist Concha Calleja on the program Fiesta, King Charles has taken an unexpected step and decided to restructure his funeral plan. All this is to give a leading role to his younger son, Harry.
This way, despite the fact that Harry and his family live in the United States and are not active members of the Royal Family, their presence on that day will be key.

Since King Charles's son and his wife announced their departure from royalty in 2020, they have been at the center of several episodes that have cooled their relationship with the institution.
"Every time they feel the need for money, they'll give another interview or write another book with the aim of personally hurting the family," a source told the Daily Mail. These statements exposed the discomfort that exists inside Buckingham Palace.

Nevertheless, King Charles would be determined to change the narrative, with his intention for both Harry and Meghan to participate on the day of the funeral, with a clear and defined role.
Royal expert Concha Calleja has stated that Charles III made this change "without asking for permission and without apologizing," knowing that it could make William uncomfortable.
"He has included Harry. He expressly wants Harry to go alongside his brother, who will already be king, and to walk behind his coffin," the contributor adds.

In addition, the monarch would also have requested that his grandchildren and Meghan be present in the place that corresponds to them as immediate family. This gesture symbolizes a fresh start in his relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, leaving aside the disagreements they have experienced so far.
Meanwhile, Calleja has confirmed that this decision was made after the legal meeting between King Charles's and Prince Harry's representatives. There, it was agreed that the personal relationship between father and son would be separated from the institutional one.
"Harry will start working again. They'll do it in a very discreet way, but already taking his part in the British Royal Family," this royal expert clarified. However, what has not yet been finalized are the roles that Harry and his family will take on from now on.
Despite this rapprochement between King Charles and his younger son, "William remains skeptical about Harry and, especially, Meghan," British media report.
