Kate Middleton's best-kept secret revealed: the drink that helps her keep good health

If Kate Middleton has been known for anything over the years, it's her lifestyle, in which she combines healthy eating and physical exercise. Now, thanks to a former employee, new details about the Princess of Wales's daily routine have come to light.

As has been revealed, the wife of Prince William starts every morning with a green smoothie full of nutrients. According to information published by media outlets such as ¡Hola! and MailOnline, the princess doesn't start the day with tea or coffee, but with a drink made up of seven ingredients.

This health-boosting blend includes foods such as kale, spinach, romaine lettuce, cilantro, blueberries, powdered spirulina, and matcha tea.

Helen Bell, an expert from the organization Help and Advice, has analyzed the nutritional value of Kate Middleton's smoothie at the request of the British Mirror. After her evaluation, she has highlighted that four of the seven ingredients can be considered "superfoods."

These are characterized by having a high density of essential nutrients that contribute to overall good health. This is something the expert has highlighted in her analysis:

"Spinach, kale, and spirulina are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, while blueberries are known for their high antioxidant content. Matcha, a type of green tea, contains high levels of catechins, which are natural antioxidants."

Meanwhile, Bell has also pointed out that they can help control cholesterol. For example, spinach helps reduce the risk of serious diseases such as cancer, although more studies are still needed.

In addition, this type of food can lower LDL cholesterol, known as the "bad" kind. However, the expert clarifies that its effect depends on the overall dietary context.

"No particular food will change cholesterol levels, but incorporating this type of ingredient into a balanced diet supports heart health," she has added.

Finally, she didn't want to finish her work without first warning about possible effects on people with specific conditions. She has also advised consuming some of these substances in moderation:

"People with thyroid problems may need to limit raw leafy vegetables due to their goitrogen content. Spirulina and matcha are very concentrated, so it's best to start with small amounts and monitor how the body responds."
