King Charles III has been left speechless upon learning about the unexpected proposal made to him by British astronaut Tim Peake. An offer that, without a doubt, could make one of the British monarch's greatest dreams come true.
In recent days, the possibility that the sovereign could take a trip beyond Earth's atmosphere has gained more traction than ever. All this comes after Tim Peake's latest and revealing statements have come to light.

During one of his latest interviews, the Briton, who was part of the European Space Agency, has suggested that it wouldn't be impossible to see King Charles III on a space mission. After having a recent conversation with him, the idea doesn't seem so far-fetched to him.
Tim Peake, known for being the first British citizen to take part in an expedition to the International Space Station, has stated that the monarch's desire could open that door.
King Charles III receives an unexpected proposal from astronaut Tim Peake
In statements to The Mirror, Tim Peake has assured that if King Charles III "wanted to go, it could be possible." This assessment, the former military officer has made based on his experience and the interest shown by the monarch himself.
According to reports, both met at the beginning of the year at Hampton Court, where they shared impressions about the growing need to preserve the space environment.

At that time, Charles III, a historic advocate of ecological causes, showed great interest and concern for what many call "the final frontier." In fact, his conversation with Tim Peake revolved around the environmental impact of human activities beyond the planet.
"We had a meeting earlier this year at Hampton Court about how we can protect the space environment. I think space is his next frontier. I'm sure that if he wanted to go, it could be possible," the astronaut told the aforementioned outlet.

Meanwhile, Tim Peake didn't want to miss the opportunity to also highlight King Charles III's strong commitment to the responsible use of space.
"The King is passionate about space and understands that we must seize this opportunity to start using space, a wonderful environment, and benefit here[Earth]."
Although the idea of seeing King Charles III in space sounds appealing, it's not a feat as simple as it may seem at first glance, something Tim Peake knows firsthand.
Before traveling in 2013, the astronaut had to undergo tough and intense training. In it, he had to learn, among many other things, Russian, aspects of space engineering, minor surgery, dentistry, and pass survival tests.
Meanwhile, this isn't the first time King Charles III has publicly shown his interest in the aerospace world. Back in 2023, he organized an event on space sustainability at Buckingham Palace. During the event, he presented Carta Astra, an initiative that promotes responsible practices in the space industry.
