No one expected it: they announce something shocking about King Juan Carlos and Corinna Larsen

King Juan Carlos and Corinna Larsen: a story of love and scandal

What began as a casual encounter between King Juan Carlos and CorinnaLarsen turned, according to her, into an intense love. She describes it as a "love at first sight", and claims that the monarch showed total devotion from the start. He would call her up to twenty times a day and showered her with compliments like "my angel" or "my life."

Juan Carlos I not only showed his love with words, but also shared every detail of his life with her, from intimate matters to topics related to his business. According to Larsen, the king even changed his routines to spend more time with her.

Letters, promises and a marriage proposal

One of the most surprising aspects of the story is the enormous amount of correspondence the king allegedly sent to Corinna. According to journalist Pilar Eyre, it was "dozens, hundreds of letters and postcards." In them, the monarch expressed his love with phrases like: "I count the hours and seconds to be with you" or "You are mine and only mine."

The most shocking moment came in June 2005, when, after barely a year of relationship, King Juan Carlos proposed to her one night: "Tell me, do you want to marry me?" According to Corinna, when she asked about the queen, he replied firmly: "It will be difficult, it will take time, but I will achieve it. There is nothing I desire as much as for you to be my wife."

The discovery at Zarzuela and the change in the relationship

The love story took an unexpected turn when Queen Sofía caught them together at the Zarzuela Palace. Juan Carlos had invited Corinna, taking advantage of his wife's absence, but Doña Sofía appeared unannounced, according to Larsen, "specifically to catch us." The queen pointed her finger at her and said in English: "I know perfectly well who you are."

After the incident, the king apologized to Corinna and assured her that his relationship with Sofía had been broken for a long time. From that moment on, the relationship between the two became more reserved. Juan Carlos continued to show his affection and was very close to Corinna's son, Alexander.

Alexander, the silver elephants and the family

The emeritus king went so far as to treat Alexander as if he were his own son, even promising that he would be included in his will. For the monarch's seventieth birthday, Corinna gave him something very special: seven silver elephants hand-carved by a Zimbabwean goldsmith. Juan Carlos told her that those sculptures would be part of Alexander's inheritance.

The king's commitment to the relationship was such that he traveled to Germany to ask for her hand: "He didn't want me to think I was just his lover," Larsen claims. That night, in her words, was one of the happiest of her life: "We loved each other like never before," she recalls.

A love that left its mark

Although the relationship didn't flourish publicly and remained in the shadows for years, Corinna Larsen's testimony reveals a deep, complex love story full of intimate moments. The letters, promises, and gestures of the emeritus king paint the portrait of a man willing to risk everything for love.

Despite the passage of time and the subsequent scandals, Corinna states that her bond with Juan Carlos was genuine. Although their story ended, the memories, gifts, and words still echo as reminders of a real passion lived in silence.
