All alarms have been raised again around the Danish Royal House. All this comes after that institution issued a new and controversial official statement about Queen Mary.
For several days, King Frederik and his wife have been under scrutiny for the questionable personal decision they've made regarding their summer vacation. As was confirmed at the beginning of July, the monarchs decided to take another private getaway.

However, just as they've done on other occasions, both he and Queen Mary chose not to disclose either the destination or the reason for their trip. This situation is already starting to generate some controversy among the Danish population.
In fact, the frequency with which the monarchs take these kinds of breaks has caused a major stir in Denmark. So much so that the criticism against them has started to increase considerably.

Now, the Royal House's communications team has announced, through a statement, that King Frederik and Queen Mary have decided to further extend their absence. As has been confirmed, the monarchs have officially started their public vacation.
Criticism increases around the Danish Royal House after the latest statement about Queen Mary
According to Danish law, when the monarch is absent, someone must be left in charge of the institution. In this case, that responsibility should have fallen to the heir to the throne, Christian.

If that were not the case, Queen Margrethe, who abdicated on January 14, 2024, would have to set aside her retirement to take charge of the Crown. That's exactly what ended up happening, since between July 6 and July 18 the entire Royal Family of Denmark was out of the country.
The outlet Billed Bladet reported that Queen Mary and her husband's vacation began on July 6 and, initially, was only supposed to last until the 13th. However, they decided to extend it by five more days.

A decision that, as expected, has ended up causing great discomfort in public opinion, since this isn't the first time something similar has happened. Already at the beginning of the year, Frederik was criticized for taking three breaks in less than a month.
This is a situation that the king himself described as "downtime," although many in Denmark saw it as excessive. Since then, this pattern of behavior has been a constant topic of debate in the local press.
Now, the Danish Royal House has confirmed through a statement that, after this controversial getaway, Queen Mary and her husband have officially started their public vacation. A new trip that has begun with an unexpected anecdote.
Upon their arrival in Jutland, where the monarchs will enjoy this summer period with their children Vincent and Isabella, Queen Mary suffered a setback. The monarch was stung by a wasp, although, fortunately, there were no serious consequences.
