In light of the latest developments regarding Iñaki Urdangarin, Pablo Urdangarin has broken his silence before the press. After having said on several occasions that he doesn't forgive the harm done to his father, he has now stated, "I hope people see him for who he is. That's it."
It was last June 8 when, after years of keeping silent, the former Duke of Palma granted his first interview to La Vanguardia. That day, after serving a sentence of 5 years and 10 months in prison (5 años y 10 meses) for the Nóos Case, he spoke about his new life in Vitoria with Ainhoa Armentia.

In addition, Iñaki Urdangarin also announced that he has founded his own coaching company, with which he hopes to start a new personal and professional chapter away from the Spanish royal family.
However, just a few days after that interview, all the alarms around him went off again. According to Pilar Eyre, Pablo Urdangarin's father may be writing his memoirs, a book that could be published in 2026.

In them, he would be willing to tell his truth about his marriage to Infanta Cristina. In addition, he would also talk about his disappointment with King Juan Carlos, whom he would allegedly accuse of having "sacrificed" him to protect the Crown.
In this context, Pablo Urdangarin has stepped forward to address the speculation and once again publicly defend his father, Iñaki Urdangarin. He did so in front of the Europa Press cameras.
Pablo Urdangarin once again defends his father, Iñaki Urdangarin
For now, Iñaki Urdangarin hasn't confirmed or denied the existence of these memoirs. However, if they come to light, they could cause a significant stir within the royal family. Especially for Doña Cristina, with whom Iñaki has kept a cordial relationship since their separation three years ago.

However, a few hours ago, his son Pablo Urdangarin decided to break his silence to defend his father once again. At that moment, although he didn't comment on the book, he spoke positively about his father's reinvention after serving his sentence.
"I'm very happy. I hope people see him for who he is. That's it," said the young handball player to the team of reporters from the aforementioned news agency.
With these words, Pablo Urdangarin has asked that Iñaki Urdangarin be given a second chance. This way, he has supported his father's desire to be judged as a person and not as a character.
However, this isn't the first time the young man has stood up for his father publicly. In fact, on more than one occasion, he has shown that he is hurt and angry about everything the former Duke of Palma has been made to suffer.
