Casa Real is already preparing for Princess Leonor's arrival in the final stage of her training aboard Elcano. There are only a few days left before the ship arrives in Gijón, accompanied by the frigate Blas de Lezo with the heiress on board. It is expected to be on July 3, and they will remain in port until July 7, offering the opportunity to visit both vessels.
The exceptional aspect of the occasion will be that these visits will be possible with the heiress present. It is unknown whether she will be at each and every one of them, but considering that it will last several days, it is possible to meet her.

Casa Real confirms information about Princess Leonor
There are just over three weeks left before Princess Leonor successfully completes her training in the Navy. Those six months of the cruise are now behind us, when we all witnessed how she boarded Elcano. Now, Casa Real is finalizing her arrival, and the heiress's first stop in Gijón will be on July 3.
It will not be until the 13th when Leonor puts an end to this military journey that has taken her to numerous places. Before that date, Princess Leonor has another commitment that Casa Real has already announced. It is the opportunity to visit the ship Elcano and the frigate Blas de Lezo where the heiress is currently located.

From Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6, both vessels will open their doors to the public. Princess Leonor could be on board while the Navy opens the ships to visitors during the special days planned in Gijón. Casa Real is considering the possibility that the heiress to the Crown will meet the public during those visits.
This would not be the first time; we already saw Leonor showing the facilities to visitors in Valparaíso, Chile. The successor answered questions from those present and took an active part in the tour. Therefore, it would not be surprising if she did the same during the days already being prepared in Gijón.
Casa Real prepares for Princess Leonor's imminent arrival
During her recent training cruise, Leonor has been present at episodes of great media impact during stops in the Americas and in New York. Elcano's route included stops in Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Panama, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and finally U.S. waters, specifically New York.
There, in New York, Leonor played a prominent institutional role: she swore the flag and took part in official events at Pier 88 on the Hudson. In the Big Apple, visitors were able to see the ship's facilities and admire its deck and engine room up close. However, on that occasion, the princess was not present.

Now, back in Spain, Casa Real announces that Elcano will make a stop in Gijón, a port city open to sailing enthusiasts. The frigate Blas de Lezo will also stop there, opening its doors for three days. The visiting days will be accompanied by official events, which suggests that Leonor could greet those who come to see the ship.
Once the visits are over, the princess will rejoin Elcano to complete the final voyage with her companions. Her destination will be Marín, in Pontevedra, on July 13, when she will complete her training in the Navy.
Casa Real is expected to make that moment historic, and the Royal Family is already preparing for that meeting. After all, it marks a historic milestone for the institution and for Princess Leonor's future reign.
