After announcing his departure from tennis courts, Rafa Nadal has fully focused on his most entrepreneurial side. So much so that, as of today, he has several projects underway, including the mansions in Málaga, in which he has invested nearly €200 million.
It was on October 10, 2024, when this well-known athlete officially announced his retirement from professional tennis through an emotional video shared on his social media. However, it was not until a few days later that he played his last match.

Nevertheless, his departure from tennis has not meant the end of Rafa Nadal's professional activity. In fact, at 39 years old, the Balearic athlete keeps a busy schedule, divided between his renowned tennis and padel academy and his new ventures in the business world.
Among them, his strong commitment to the real estate sector stands out. As of today, the tennis player is immersed in an ambitious residential development plan on the Costa del Sol. He has invested the astronomical amount of €200 million in this project.

Rafa Nadal leads this real estate project alongside businessman Abel Matutes, with whom he has founded the company Palya Investe. In collaboration with the developer Sierra Blanca, they have allocated nearly €200 million to the construction of 100 exclusive homes on the Costa del Sol, according to Diario Sur.

This initiative includes two main locations. In Los Llanos (Estepona), 42 apartments and six high-end villas will be built on the beachfront. Meanwhile, in Nagüeles (Marbella), 45 luxury apartments will be constructed in two phases: first 33, and the rest later.
Rafa Nadal's goal is to offer, through this luxurious complex, residences with all the amenities and services of five-star hotels. Although they are still waiting for building permits, the project has already been approved. In fact, construction is scheduled to begin during 2025.

In addition to the residential project, the Manacor native also wants to leave his sporting mark on the area. So much so that he plans to open a Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Marbella, thus expanding the network of centers linked to his brand:
"I'm very happy that we're officially announcing the launch of a new Rafa Nadal Tennis Center in Marbella, as it consolidates the expansion project of our methodology within Spain as well," he stated in a press release.
"I'm sure that sports fans will greatly enjoy our programs and these magnificent facilities," Rafa Nadal added, very excited about the project.
